Many people have pets and even those who don't have been witness to the weird things that animals can do. We've all seen an animal being weird here and there, and those moments can be some of the most interesting experiences. We collected a bunch of pictures of different animals just going about their day doing whatever it is they feel like. If you want to see the shenanigans that cats, dogs, and even snails get into, then look no further than the images below!
Grumpy Cat
This little cat doesn't take any nonsense. He wants what he wants and he's not getting a "no" for an answer. You think he needs to diet and exercise? Tonight's dinner is lettuce and tomatoes? "NO!" says the white cat with an angry scowl on his face. He will not be eating any of this rabbit food that you speak of. He wants some tuna and milk for dinner tonight.
That is a weird combination, but whatever. The only other choice you have anyway is to not feed the poor guy but we all know that that can't happen.
Photobomb
Cats are known to sometimes be very receptive to you not having any fun. So what they will do is go out of their way to make sure that they ruin whatever it is that is making you happy right at that moment in a plea for attention. Like maybe you're taking some nice pictures for a photo album. You knew you shouldn't have brought the cat, but it's too late now.
She's already gotten right up into the camera when the photo is taken. And worse yet, she keeps doing it in every picture. Guess it's family photo day this time.
New "Do"
Cats love to mess up pictures and they will do whatever it takes to get that done. If they aren't photobombing the picture, then they are definitely doing something else to try to mess things up. This cat here was so opposed to the family dog getting his own photo that she decided to climb on board. The result was anything but a failure and came out probably better than before.
While the cat in question may not have entirely ruined this picture, they did manage to get a photo that will last for more than a few lifetimes, and that's perfect.
Pull Over
Cats don't simply ruin pictures. They're rule breakers. They'll do whatever they decide they want to do and there's nothing you can say or do to stop them... unless you're the police, of course. As you can see, the wild cheetah stops for the police officer as they are also bound by certain traffic laws. The cheetah is getting a ticket for going 75 miles per hour on a 50 mph highway.
It just goes to show that they may do whatever they want, but they aren't above the law. Let this be a lesson to all of you wannabe drag racers.
Rebel
Looks like the wild cats aren't the only ones being troublemakers around the place. A sense of entitlement isn't exclusive to only one type of animal. This dog could clearly see the sign kindly asking him not to enter, but instead of just walking away, he took the sign with him as some sort of trophy. Good work for following the rules, bud, but this is a step too far.
Maybe he was just trying to be a good boy and show his owners that he's not allowed in. Too bad he just cost someone a few extra minutes of work.
Being Extra
Most people and pets would look out the window in a normal fashion, but not this guy. Perhaps he was tired of doing the same old thing day in and day out, or perhaps he knew that he was being photographed. Either way, this little guy knew that what he had to do was be as extra as he possibly could. So he stretched out and gave the camera something to look at.
And look we did. This is certainly one of the more interesting reactions to windows that we've seen from a cat. We can't wait to see what else is in store.
The Transforming Cat
If you have ever posed behind a cardboard cutout with a hole where the head is, you know how much fun it can be to suddenly transform yourself into someone or something else. This cat must have seen something like that and gotten curious because it decided to try the trick out for itself using the computer screen. And we must say, this picture is definitely a sight to behold.
We imagine the cat asking, "Am I doing it? Is it working?" It sure is buddy. And it is actually quite a good look for this little guy, funnily enough.
A Helping Hand
Not all animals choose to spend their time being jerks. Many animals like to help people out when they are in need. Take a look at this orangutan taking the time out to help a man who is elbow-deep in the muck. He could have been off relaxing in the shade or suntanning, but instead, he chose to lend a hand to someone who he thought needed it. So wholesome.
This is the kind of thing that inspires people to help others. After all, if a "wild animal" can do something like this, then we should be able to, too.
Peeping Toms
Do you ever feel like your pets are conspiring against you? Well, after seeing this, you might be convinced that they're up to something. Or, at least, you might think that they think you're on to something. It's not clear exactly what these animals think is going on here, but clearly, something is up. If we saw this in our own kitchen, we would get on the next plane out of there.
Maybe they all just noticed that someone was cooking up dinner. Either way, this is not something we want to see when we are trying to get the food ready.
Eavesdropping
Okay, maybe something is up because it's not just the cat, dog, and chickens that are trying to see inside the house, but also the family cow. We are not exactly sure what they are all trying to bear witness to, but we are starting to get very curious. This cow looks very serious about it, so maybe we really ought to know what is going on inside the house.
How can anyone respond normally to a situation like this? Who do you call? You can't call the police, so what do you do? Let's hope we never have to find out.
Please Pets
When an animal wants some attention, they will do whatever it takes to get it. Especially cats, who seem to be able to get just about anywhere they set their mind to. If you think you're going to get any work done this week, guess again! you're going to spend the rest of your life petting the cute kitty and feeding it little treats. And it will use force if it must.
Even if it isn't that big, you can't resist those piercing eyes and those precious little toe beans. Forget whatever you are doing, it's time to play with the cat!
Quick Dip
You would think that all the corgis would love floating in the lake on their innertubes, but one daring corgi defies convention by refusing it, choosing instead to practice its doggy paddle. The joke is on him, though, because those tiny little legs of his are no match for the big, wide lake that he's swimming in. He'll come around soon enough. For now, enjoy that which is corgis chilling on a lake:
He really should consider the corgi tubes. We can see the regret in the poor thing's eyes, but he also looks stubborn enough to try to tough it out.
A Sneaky Thief
Does anyone else have a cat that loves to sneak things out of the refrigerator? For one family, it has gotten to the point where they have to post a sign inside the door warning hungry residents to beware of any kitty limbs sticking through the door. They even managed to catch the culprit in the act to prove that their problem is real and it is actually really funny.
Does it really think that's going to fit through the door? And it clearly doesn't know that it's grabbed onto some celery. Surely it wants access to the smoked salmon further inside.
Wild Goose Chase
This duck was at the wrong place at the wrong time, or so he claimed. However, this image is proof that he was seen leaving the scene of the crime. Not only did it break into the house, but it damaged the gate on the way out. Just what kind of escape plan is this? And after a wild goose chase, the only thing they got out of it was one measly picture.
At least, that's what we assume was going on at the time this photo was taken. You can't deny that the duck looks guilty. Why else would he be running?
Officer Rabbit
They say that you can do whatever you want when you grow up, so this little rabbit took the initiative and got himself enrolled at the officer's academy. No one will deny this rabbit this dream job of his. His biggest inspiration is Judy Hops from "Zootopia" and he will be the best police bunny he can be in her name. But for now, he's just in training before the real stuff begins.
Isn't he just the cutest thing ever? Whoever thought you could get your rabbit a harness like this? We'll keep that in mind while we search out our new rabbit friend.
Pop Quiz
Cats are notorious for doing what they want, so it's no surprise that this cat took a seat right on the pile of phones the students stacked before their test. It's almost taunting them. The stare it is giving them is like it's asking if they really think they can pass this test without cheating. Maybe not for some of them, but the rest of them will show this cat what they're made of.
The real question is, who let this cat in anyways? That would be a pretty big distraction right in the middle of an important exam. Is it the teacher's pet?
Puzzling Turn of Events
And if you thought that a cat keeping your phone away from you was bad, how do you feel about a cat that won't let you finish your puzzle? It looks really big and mostly done, but it would be too fun and exciting if it were easy to complete it, so this cat decided to perch right on the remaining pieces. As inconvenient as that is, it comes with the property.
You're just going to have to wait a few hours before it's time to move. Maybe if you're lucky, you don't have the cat that likes to swipe at hands that get too close.
New "Do" Number Two
Cats will literally perch anywhere they feel like it. It doesn't matter to them what you're doing at the time because all they want is a nice place to sleep. And while we will admit that the TV can get a little warm after some use, that doesn't mean that it's an invitation to sleep right on top of it, especially while we're watching. Though she does make a great wig.
This one is about as good as the cat who gave itself the body of a cow. Now we can't stop thinking about what it would be like if cats perched on everyone's heads.
A New Nest
If they can't find their own perch, cats will look for and steal the perch of another animal, especially if it looks warm and a perfect fit for a cat. One person had a cute crocheted chicken and eggs in their home, and their cat decided that it was its new bed. Apparently, some of the eggs went missing too. But cats really like yarn, so we're not surprised to see that.
What is it with cats trying to fit themselves inside of things? It doesn't matter what it is as long as the cat can stand inside of it. Truly odd.
Cat Sanctuary
This is a perfect example of what we were talking about. These cats managed to find some places in the wall that they could fit into, and so now they are making it their home. Although we normally wouldn't advise allowing your kittens to live inside the bricks of your house, we do have to say that coming home to see this every day would definitely be a dream come true.
Imagine that instead of a motion-sensing light that turns on when you walk up, you get these cats instead. Or maybe even have both so they can have a little spotlight, too.
Bear Necessities
Have you ever tried to mess with a bear? What about a bear cub? No? Good, because they are cute but super dangerous. And trust us when we say this: they do whatever they want. Say what you want about all the other animals so far, but these fuzzy beasts are not joking around. If you ever saw a little bear entering your home like this, what would you do?
We're not sure whether to run, call for help, or try to shoo it off. We just don't want to get on his bad side. Maybe a small smackerel of honey will satisfy him?
Under Arrest
Oh, by the way, remember how we said not too long ago that cats will perch just about anywhere? Well here's one that will knock your socks off. Without any context given, we see a man who has just been arrested on the ground and who is still there when a cat decides to set up camp right on his back. Now that is a cat with a lot of nerve.
Who else would sit right on the back of someone who has just gotten arrested? It's like it's laughing right in the guy's face and is using him to set an example.
Say "Cheese"
Just when you think you can finally leave the cat to be on its own, you hear a whole bunch of scratching coming from the room it's in. That's what happened when this person walked in on their cat catching them red-handed. Instead of running away scared, it gave the biggest cheese it could to the camera in an act of defiance. "You will never control me!" cried the cat.
At least that is what it feels like to be a cat owner. Sometimes you just get stuck with the wild ones, but they are all just so cute regardless.
Never Coming Back
If you ever saw the meme with the girl smiling in front of the house on fire, then you should find this one awfully familiar. Someone set up this side-eyeing doggo to fit perfectly into this photo. We can imagine this is how the dog feels after we've gone away for a long time. They start to get so nervous about us not coming back that they choose to leave it all behind.
And then we come back home and they are so happy because they really thought they would never see us again. Well, maybe they don't set the house on fire, but they definitely tear up the whole house.
Ratatouille
Listen, we never thought we would be saying this, but apparently, the movie "Ratatouille" really happened. We didn't think it was possible, what with food safety and all being an issue, but it seems like some kitchen out there really started taking opinions from a mouse. Hey, if a rabbit was able to become a police officer, then a rat (mouse?) could definitely become the head chef of a restaurant.
What's important is that it's following its dreams. If you don't try you'll never make it. They say "you miss 100% of the shots that you don't take", so bravo to this critter for putting itself out there.
Big Boy
We love it when a young pup tries to be all grown up. They think they're all tough, yet they seem to forget that they are smaller than a fist and as light as a feather. This little one thought that she was big enough to set herself up in a chair and it is one of the cutest things we have seen all year (we've got another 11 months to top it).
Just seeing her try to sit upright with that look on her face is enough to melt your heart. We would like to see more puppies in puppy-sized furniture, please!
Actual Big Boy
If you're the proud owner of a bog dog, you may be familiar with this picture. They seem to think, for some reason, that they are still small enough to fit into the tiniest little garden chair. It's cute that they still think they are puppies, but sometimes that leads them to believe that they can still fit into people's laps when...they cannot. At least they are still super cuddly!
We can't believe just how cute this big boy is. And that tongue sticking out is melting our hearts, too. This silly boy just wants some love, so we'll give him a pass this time.
Slow and Steady
This snail is a cucumber thief and it will not be stopped! Although it may be slow, it follows the rules of "slow nd steady wins the race"... which in the end is really just everyone leaving this snail alone to enjoy his slice of cucumber. We couldn't possibly do anything to bother this poor guy, so we're just going to humor him by continuing this heist-themed escape story.
Unfortunately, the snail ends up being tracked down thanks in part to its slime trail, but the police, too, let the snail enjoy its slice of cucumber because that's really cute. Also, when else do you ever get to see this?
Holy Lights
What else would a cat do when everyone is trying to nap other than scream at the top of its lungs while basking in a rainbow of lights? Leave it to her to make sure everyone sees and hears how beautiful she is. Honestly, this would be a really pretty picture if it weren't for the fact that the cat looks like it is making a really big ruckus.
We wonder what compelled the cat to do something like this. Maybe it thinks that the light is from a holy god? It definitely looks like it could be something divine.
Feeling Sick
It doesn't seem to matter what you're doing, your cat will always find a way to bother you. You would hope that when you "wake up in the morning feeling like pee-diddy" that someone would come to rub your back and make sure you're okay. The cat? No, the cat will instead rest on your back because the angle you are hurling at makes for the perfect place to stand.
Hopefully, when you're done it will let you get up without much of a fight, but chances are that cat is here to stay. Thanks for the moral support, kitty
Can Sleep Anywhere
When the dog needs to sleep, it's probably best to follow the saying "let sleeping dogs lie". But does anyone else ever face that problem where their dog refuses to lay down in a more comfortable position? This dog could have chosen to lay down on the floor, but instead, he chose to lay upside-down on the chair, nearly defying gravity in the process. Well, whatever works, works, we guess.
But we know that as soon as that car starts moving that there is no way he will be able to stay in that position. At least there's this photo to remind us.
Quick Sit
But cats are not the only ones who wait for the most opportune times to sit on someone when they're busy. One person managed to capture this photo of a couple of seagulls mid-flight. But if you take a closer look, it becomes immediately obvious that one of them is sitting on the other. How do they even do that? We hope this isn't photoshopped because this is truly legendary.
Has anyone else ever seen a bird sit on another mid-flight like this? We feel like we would have heard about it if this was a common occurrence. We hope we see more of this.
Busy Bee
This bee was just going about its day when it discovered this house's front door camera. It got so close to it that you can literally see all of its tiny bee details! We wonder if the bee was trying to see through to the other side of the camera (hey we never said it knew what this thing was). Maybe this bee is actually the new mail delivery person.
Could you imagine bees delivering our packages to us? Maybe when they start implementing drones we will convince them to make them in the shape of a simple honey bee.
The Perfect Grass
We never knew that there were different types of astroturf out there, but apparently, there are and apparently, there are some people out there who have a preference as to which one they use. Well, maybe not people, per se, but certainly, one young goat was having a good time testing out the different flavors. Goats like grass, so you know that whichever one it prefers is the one to go with.
Just make sure it's not so good that the goat goes and eats it all. Maybe, in the end, it would be best to go with the one it likes the least.
Quite a Mouthful
Here we have another animal doing a taste test, and this seems to be the first time it is taste-testing anything! You can tell because this poor little guy just stuck his whole head into the food without a care in the world whereas a more experienced feline might opt to eat at it very precisely. But when a kitten is hungry, there's no stopping it from getting what it wants.
In this case, it's some delicious mystery pate with extra gravy. Sounds great and all, but you're supposed to eat it with your mouth, not with your face, silly kitty!
Just a Sip
Sometimes you have a long day and you go for some periods without a drink of water. It can get so bad that you'll do anything to get a drink before you do anything else. It seemed one horse was really feeling this way himself because he went as far as to have a sip from the caretaker's mug. But you gotta do what you gotta do, as they say.
We just have to say, this picture itself is gold. This could be the perfect photo for a funny animals calendar. Or maybe even as the background to our phone's lock screens.
