Whatever the aristocratic Crawley family is going through, it always does it in amazing fashion. The hit period drama followed the family between the years1912 and 1926, and showed the transition of fashion from Edwardian style to flapper dresses, the influence of WW1 on the fashion industry, and the dawning of a new era of modernity –
and it's managed to be both stylish and smart in the way it portrayed the passage of time.
